MOULAY RACHID YOUTH AND CHILHOOD COMPLEX, ROUTE BOUZNIKA
Africa faces many challenges related to SRH, including limited access to information and services, high rates of HIV/AIDS, and complications related to pregnancy and childbirth, which are among the leading causes of death among young women. These problems are exacerbated by cultural, social and economic barriers that prevent women and young people from fully claiming their SRH rights. The Youth Pre-Conference will be held as a prelude to the 11th edition of the African Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, a crucial event for stakeholders committed to improving health and well-being in Africa. This pre-conference will focus on exploring advances in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and related rights, with a particular focus on women and youth. The conference aims to question and expand knowledge on the state of sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa, thus contributing to the improvement of the social condition on the continent. The pre-conference contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good health and well-being) and 5 (Gender equality), as well as the African Union Agenda 2063.
