About Rabat

Nestled on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, is a testament to the passage of time and the confluence of civilizations. Its roots trace back to the Phoenician era, approximately 3,000 years ago, when it emerged as ‘Sala’, a strategic trading post. The Romans, recognizing its significance, transformed it into ‘Sala Colonia’, leaving behind the enchanting ruins of Chellah that stand as a witness to its Roman heritage. The 12th century saw Rabat’s rebirth under the Almohad dynasty, with grand structures like the Hassan Tower symbolizing its Islamic golden age. The 20th century brought a new chapter with the French Protectorate, blending Moroccan traditions with European architectural elegance. Today, as you walk its streets for our event, you’ll experience Rabat’s rich tapestry of African, European, and Middle Eastern cultures, reflecting its legacy as a welcoming melting pot and a bridge between epochs. Dive into its history, savor its culture, and let Rabat’s story inspire and enrich your event experience.
