Dr. Bakhada is a moroccan social activist, who started fighting for women’s economic justice since her youth. Her PhD resulted in a model on women’s economic empowerment and well-being. She began her early career working with underprivileged women in Morocco in various settings, eventually becoming the Executive Director of the Moroccan Family Planning Association (AMPF). After eight years of work there, she successfully tripled the organization’s revenue for social action, initiating cultural change programs and establishing numerous new partnerships. Dr. Bakhada moved on to become the Regional Director of IPPF’s AWR office in 2020. Dr. Fadoua has written on abortion and lectured at the Faculty of Economics in Rabat, where she taught health project management and public health systems empowerment.
